Summary0001667: [Smart3][ATV12][QA issue] STB box enters passive standby mode ( sleep <-> wakeup , volume control )

STB is entering passive standby mode during aging test as below.
1) STB wakeup
2) volume up / down / up / down
3) STB sleep

Repeat 1) to 3) and STB suddenly enters passive standby mode.

I also attach the kernel log and test script

Hi Jerry,

I think this reproduce step is the same issue.

1. TV / STB CEC enable / Set active standby mode in STB
2. TV off while STB on / TV on
3. The TV is turned off, and after some time has passed, the STB enters passive standby mode and LED is blue. The amount of power is also about 0.4w.

Could you please test again as this method?

If YES, our QA tested this issue in two cases with applying this commit.

1. State where OTA pop-up is displayed when entering standby mode
2. State where OTA pop-up is not displayed when entering standby mode -> Change EDMP server to wrong server address

In case 2, confirmed that it works normally.
In case 1, RCU (IR / BT) input is not possible after entering standby mode.

Please refer attached video and log.

3. I check with ATV10 15.532.20. I found an inconsistent behavior.
    TV off --> TV on ===> ATV10 will show upgrade UI. but ATV12 doesn't.

Hi Jerry,

1. Is this problem reporduced every time ?
    [ALT] Our QA tested many times but this issue reproduced always.

2. I check with log and find that the TV sends 2 CEC <Standby> messages to SMART3.
    Please help to check with other TV.
    [ALT] Our QA tested another TV (SAMSUNG / LG). This issue was reproduced another TV.

3. I check with ATV10 15.532.20. I found an inconsistent behavior.
    TV off --> TV on ===> ATV10 will show upgrade UI. but ATV12 doesn't.
    [ALT] It's weird. I tested on my board, I can see upgrade popup message both ATV10 and ATV12.
               Are your board is smart3? Please test in another board.

Hi Jerry,

I tested your test FW.
The issue (RCU (IR / BT) input is not possible) is not reproduce in your FW.
But refer to SKB's specification, when TV off , STB MUST be go to standby mode if CEC is enabled.
As a result of testing your FW, STB does not go to standby mode when TV OFF.

Could you please check it again?

 Hi Kim,
My test is normal.
Please confirm whether there is an upgrade UI blocking it.
If yes , you need to press "back" key from RCU to ignore upgrade UI.

I have verified that if press back key, STB go to standby mode.
As you said that, upgrade UI seems blocking it.

This fix is for ATV10.
And it will cause CTS failed.
Because the CTS is different in ATV12 and ATV10.
We are still confirming how the fix is correct.

Hi Jerry,

I tested this issue (STB does not go to standby mode when TV OFF) in FW 15.537.28 but it seems fixed.
I checked the diff file, but there is no commit for this issue, so I'm asking is this issue fixed.
